How It All Began
Our wedding day, July 19th, 2026, will mark exactly four years since the first day we met. For us, this day is more than an anniversary, it is truly a testament to God's faithfulness. It's more than the passing of time or a sentimental moment; it is evidence that He who has begun a good work in us is faithful to perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. What began as two people seeking God individually, has become a journey where we have seen His hand guiding us every step of the way.
The First DM
While we met on the 19th, our story truly began a few days earlier on July 16th 2022. It started with a DM, but behind that was prayer, fasting, and asking God to lead according to His will. From the beginning, our connection was built on the wholehearted trust that the God who knows our hearts and His plans for us, also knows what is best for us.

The Day We Met
From our DMs, we made plans for our first official date on July 21st. Between July 16th and the 21st, we met for the very first time on the 19th. July 19th 2022. We met at the River Worship in Whitby at Canada Christian College. This proved what Pastor Ryan McVety always says, there truly is power in an invitation.

Between our first date and August 4th, the day our relationship officially began, we both came to recognize something incredibly special. The person we were waiting for and praying for was standing right in front of us.

Through It All
Even though we recognized this early on, our relationship has not been without its challenges. No relationship is. Alongside the joy and laughter have been moments of tension, hardship, and even doubt. What has anchored us through it all is the understanding that God has been at the center of our relationship from the very beginning. Time and time again, He has reminded us that when we trust Him fully, He is faithful to guide and sustain us.

On Thursday, February 12th, 2026, we took the next step in our journey and got engaged, bringing us to this moment of celebration! To some, this moment may seem fast or sudden, but for us it has been a result of patience, prayer, and faith. We trusted God, sought Him first and are truly blessed to be at this point.

Our story is not perfect, because we are not perfect. We are simply two imperfect people who chose to seek God's counsel above all else and made Him our sole factor in our choice. By leaning on Him, we can say with full confidence that He has shown Himself faithful in maintaining us.
If there is one thing we hope our story reflects, let it be this; God is worthy of your trust. He is worthy of trusting with your life, your love and your future. What He has done for us, He can do for you through Jesus.
